17/3/2025 One big Whisky from my dad and I start writing a NeoCities site. I have stumbled onto neo cities approximately 2 times. Firstly introduced by an incredibly talented artist I know that elusivley explained the nature of power consumption of a webiste and its intherent location in relation to a server. This some how has stuck with me. To admit it wasn't just the concept of saving power, it was also the delivery of the idea. Coming from such a reclusive yet genuine person that by looking at their paintings, they were honest, still young (comparable to myself) and incredibly talented. I couldnt not help but listen. It shook my bones a little.
This shaking of the bones has yet to leave me, 6 years later, and still im searching/asking of myself a more genuine path in life comparaable to that interaction. I think this site has a purpose, is to finally soothe the reclusive nature of myself. To be blunt, to publish the thoughts I am afraid to express. Self censorship can run deep, exploration and debate of subjects seem at the fringes of purpose these days. I digress, the second time, I came across neocities was today, when I did a deep dive on how to get the big 4 data mining behemoths out of my life. In this path of research I came across the Neocities website and it all came flooding back.
As apart of an experiment, I will start publishing my thoughts on this platform. I think I need to get a long line of honest thought expressed for everyone to see. A transparency in my writing will allow an honesty into my life, that, to be honest, I have been shying a way from. I welcome discourse, if someone has read my posts and would like to discuss, I encourage an open debate. but lets do it in person. If you figure out who I am , and to be honest, with a little bit of internet sleuthing It will pretty easy to work out who I am and where I am locatated, we can get a coffee and sit down for a chat.
